Bypass is using big data to help vulnerable populations find the safest route home. From children walking home after school, women walking alone late at night, to travelers completely unaware of their surroundings. Through the use of spatial statistics and user feedback, the app uses machine learning to essentially be a ‘Waze’ for walking. The app analyzes crime hotspots and recommends safer routes - allowing the user to be proactive with their safety, as opposed to reactive.
